I think this is recent history, ie post CodeWarrior. Certainly they control
the OS. But if the most popular dev tool comes from a third party, they are
in a position where they have to make features accessible to a broader
audience.

RB 2005/2006 were built in REALbasic -- 5.5 was not. I think that explains
it.
