System.GetNetworkInterface(id).macAddress

Every network card ever manufactured has a unique MAC address. Don't use it as a security measure though, as MAC addresses are easy enough to spoof (falsify)...

Hi All,

Is there any way of identifying a unique name for each computer on a network
without using a plugin. I would like each workstation to register on a
server program but they each need to be unique. It would be nice to get something automatically through RB without having to write a unique name for
each machine manually. TCP/IP numbers are no use as they often change.

Any ideas would be welcome.

Cindy
