Not to mention keeping project files from growing every time they are
saved, and to keep compiled app sizes from growing every compile....

You bet. Hopefully someone (TT?) will start a nice and friendly
conversation with Geoff & co. about why sometimes we complain so
much. I understand their major concern has been to attract as many
VB users as possible, but they should not forget they are targeting
software developers, that is, people who need productivity features
such as reliability, speed, collapsible code blocks, compiler
warnings, speed, customizable editor interface, support for version
control, speed... all things that, in the real world, real people
need.
