You buy a car. You know its the latest model, with all new fancy
electronics and driving features in it. This car only drives 20 mph,
whereby it's predecessor could go 100 mph for the same price, and it
was easier to steer, too.

You might think: "Jeez. I have to drive to my workplace every morning,
and by using my old car I save 15 minutes on each way. I will stick
with it until they fix their latest model."

I would be really curious to know what machines people are running and how
that affects their perception of RB200x speed. I say that because when I
first opened RB2005 on my desktop PC, it felt really sluggish compared to
5.5. But then again, my desktop is a few years old now and gets beat up on
by the entry level Sempron notebook I just picked up for $700 (solid 2x in
CPU intensive tests; yes, it's time for a desktop upgrade). Which brings me
to this: RB200x doesn't feel that bad on the notebook or my iMac G5. Yes it
could be faster, yes I would like it to be faster, but it's nothing I would
jump ship over.
