The open/save dialog problem is indeed an OS problem. iTunes, DVD Player, and even Graphic Converter exhibit the same behavior that Mach-O and PEF Carbon apps built with REALbasic do.
I'd say it's an issue of how Apple implemented open/save dialogs for Carbon programs. Additionally, I've noticed that Cocoa programs display previews for image files, but Carbon programs won't. The listbox issue definitely looks to be an RB issue though.
