Hello,

I'm trying to use a movieplayer to read an MP3 stream.

It works (more or less) fine because of gaps in the audio that are caused by
Quicktime (not RB) but also, I discovered that no error is generated when
there is a disconnection. The player stop event doesn't fire either.

Is there a way I can test for disconnexion, maybe using a ping or something
or maybe the player , or the movie already has some error property I could
check on a periodic basis.

I tried watching for the audio level, but it's not good enough to figure out
between a disconnexion and an incoming stream with a 0 volume.

I was thinking of maybe piging the stream source...

If someone else has a better suggestion, please let me know.

Thank you,

Louis Veillette
