OSX 10.4.5 RB2006R1 PowerPC
It has happened to me a few times with in the last couple of weeks
but I'm not sure how to reproduce it so I can't report ... and it can
lose a lot of work!
Yesterday I layed out a window including configuring a listbox on a
tabpannel... I had not put code in the listbox yet (thank goodness
because I think I would have lost it)...
Today I open the project all looked OK.. the listbox intial value
was there, the size and position was rightt, it had a header as i
had set. etc.. But when I selected it, it had lost it super and i
could not get at any listbox properties.. when i select something
else the listbox visually turned into a cube designateding it as
class with no super.
So I closed the project without saving it.. quit RB, restarted RB and
opened the project from the recent items menu. This time i tried
resetting the super to listbox... but then it lost it's contents...
obviously the IDE is confused internally...
I copied the listbox from another project, pasted it into this one,
then modified it before saving. I THINK when it happened time before
it was with controls that i copied and pasted... i tend to do that
often both within and between projects as time saver... Modifying
similar controls when designing similar windows is a LOT faster than
starting from scratch...
I'm trying to write an app for another department at work to help
with their work flow and i don't have much time to do it... stuff
like this is VERY frustrating!
I REALLY wish RS would use RB200* exclusively for their internal RB
IDE development...
