Any news from REAL World? New things you learned about REALbasic,
updates on Swordfish, Cocoa details?
I'll let REAL Software communicate the meat of it, but here are a few
observations and general comments:
- Recently passed 100,000 RB user mark
- Amazing number of Linux downloads, lots of Linux awards
- Mac still 50% of installed based
- "They're still working on Swordfish"
- Saw several Cocoa demos, very impressive.
Good speed and fixed the clipping and compositing issues.
- You can do lots of cool stuff with Cocoa declares
- Carbon declares should still work in Cocoa apps,
except for carbon declares that affect windows and controls
It's a very upbeat conference and it's very exciting being here. Fun
putting faces to the familiar names after all these years.

Joe Huber
