I agree with Mr. Johannsson, I *know* the "universal builder" is coming and I have absolute faith that it will work great when it does! For me, the problem is entirely a public relations-type issue. What do I tell customers that ask when a universal version of my apps will be available? And what do I say when they ask why one is not available? I could try and say: "Well, I use Real Software's development tool for that app and Real just hasn't said yet. So, I have no idea. I can't give you an estimate, I can only tell you that it will come eventually." It's the truth, of course, it just makes my helplessness so obvious --- I worry what the customer must think, seeing the constant stream of universal apps being announced on a daily basis. I could just say: "I'm working really hard on it!" but that's just not true! I'm doing *nothing* to bring it about! So far, I haven't come up with a good answer that doesn't sound like I am blaming Real or Apple, or being evasive. (Is there anybody else I can blame? Intel? Ha, ha....just kidding.) What are other RB users telling customers? This is not Real's fault, after all they just found out about this in June 2005. I can't even comprehend the massive effort that Real must be expending to make the necessary changes to RB "under the hood" --- plus roll out the "normal" RB2005 releases over the last year. -- Russ Tyndall Wake Forest, NC _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives of this list here: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html>
