I have a problem trying to mount a shared Volume on a remote OSX
server via RB code.
I am using the following:
ShowURL "afp://Peter Barck:mypwd at myIPaddress/myVolume"
and it comes back with the message that the name or password are not correct.
Yet, if I use the exact same parameters with the "Connect to Server
..." facility in OSX it works OK.
What am I missing here? Can this be a closed port issue? If so,
what port does the RB ShowURL use?
My current work around is: When manually connected to the server
and the Sharepoint is mounted, create an Alias of it. Then in RB
execute:
Dim ff as FolderItem = GetFolderItem(myAlias). But this is a
clumsy approach when I want more flexibility in code to connect to
any server.
Any guidance greatly appreciated.
