To be clear, I'm looking for an opportunity to expand my horizons. Other than return type covariance, or when you need to distinguish between the subclass supplying a 0/nil/""/false return value and there not being an event handler, I can't think of a reason to use method overriding.

Sometimes you really want to modify the behavior of a method in a subclass, especially now that methods of framework classes are virtual.
