A couple of days ago I switched from Panther to Tiger. Now, I noticed two
things that did not happen when using OS 10.3:

1. applications compressed with Stuffit 7, once expanded get a generic icon.
This happens with my RB-built applications (PEF) and with other applications
too. In order to get the real icon I must restart. Meantime I noticed that if I
zip them via the System, they uncompress all right.
So, my first question: is this a problem of my Mac only or is it a common one?

2. I have a database (Library db) application: when I create a new
database-file, this file now shows a generic icon; restarting solves the
problem. I tried adding an extension to the file name: the first file I created
had the proper icon, the second one had the generic one (under Panther
everything worked all right).

Since a few people have downloaded some of my applications from rbgarage
(Library db, mp3Player, miniWEBedit, webSite Manager, 4getMeNot, Mailbox
Manager etc), I'd appreciate from them some feedback on these two topics so
that, in necessary, I may consider re-loading such applications as .zip

Answers may be sent to me privately (osb at bttb dot net dot bd)

Thanks,
