The reasons you cite are the ones that have me leaning towards RB too. 
Development using Xcode can be fast but, at least in my hands, it's not
nearly as rapid as with RB.  (I'm sure those with much more experience will
either will debate this)

Performance?  For most of the things I've done with both RB and Xcode speed
has never been an issue.  I'm excluding my abandoned foray into
experimenting with writing a basic chess engine.  (At least I made it
through move generation  ;-) .  Anyway, for me that exercise really pointed
out the speed differences between RB and obj-c.)

I don't really care much about the cross platform ability but can see how it
could be of paramount importance to some.

Like you, none of my apps have pushed the boundaries of what RB was built to
do.

Still on the fence for now...  ;-)
