I'll sign on to this one as well.
I started with RB 5.5.5 and liked what I saw. As soon as RB2005 was
available, I jumped ship, both feet, and never ever looked back, and
I haven't regretted it for 1 second. If RB 5.5.5 works great for
you, fine, keep on using it, same with macos 9, if it works for you
fine. I don't want to go back, I like RB 2005/2006 much more, I hate
Mac OS 9 (and earlier), Love Mac OS X, and always stay current. Sure
RB's editor could be faster, but just look at how slow 2005r1 was,
and how fast it is now, think this will stop ? No it won't, it will
get even faster. RB will keep on getting better, if you were in the
Beta test you could help out. RB 2006 is here to say, no matter how
much people complain, they will NOT nor ever go back. You can just
imagine given the size of RB2006 code, that RS is doing everything to
implement a version control system into it.
Stop ranting, and stop suggesting other half baked (sometimes not
even that) other solutions. Don't like it, don't pay, simple.
