Just for the record, without getting into a slanging match, I have been a professional programmer for over 15 years, on a variety of platforms using a few different languages.
f you need Xplatform (and/or a non C based language) which includes the Mac there is not much choice... but have you ever considered that some who complain do so because they like a lot about RB but find it's bugs (and framework limitations and XPlatfrom inconsistencies) extremely frustrating and just want it to improve ASAP to help improve their productivity... In other words they complain because they DO like it and WANT to be better to be able to use it more efficiently?
I am not saying "don't complain", I just feel that these mailing lists are not the place for "I don't like RB because..." or "Such-and- such is better, because...". As I said in my original post, comments like these should be send to RS. If I were to buy a car from a local dealership and find out that the brakes were faulty, I would contact the dealer or the manufacturer, I wouldn't send a letter to a newspaper, or stand in the middle of the street complaining about it.
We all want the best product available, I just feel that these comments should be kept from a list that ultimately is there to allow users to share information, tips and expertise.
These are my personal opinions only, obviously some people disagree, whilst others agree. Therefore, having said my bit, I will shut up about it now.
