I'm just about to launch into making a revised version of an app in
RB2006 that was originally developed in Director. It implements real-
time generation of continuous controller and note data to output via
any selected MIDI port. It also takes MIDI input from an external
controller such as one of the numerous knob and slider boxes on the
market. I used an Xtra called XMidi by TroikaTronix which worked
great for this purpose.
As for porting to RB, for OSX I've got a couple of options for
plugins to try, one is DxMIDI and the other is in the MBS plugins.
Initially I'm going to make it for OSX but I would like to eventually
port it to Windows as well. I think MBS now supports MIDI on Windows
but I don't remember off the top.
I can let you know what happens with this project. Or shoot me
questions off-list if you want.

If anyone has managed to get RB 2006 Macintosh to function as a
MIDI "controller", I'd like to hear from you off list.
I'm toying with an idea of controlling a Behringer LX1200 via MIDI
but have a few of specific questions.
