The QuickTime MP3 importer isn't a big fan of VBR files, and this
might be
the source of the inconsistencies. I could believe that for a long
VBR,
QuickTime might estimate the length inaccurately.
Right, this is exactly the thing I was talking about in my first
reply. I swear I've read posts about this topic on the QuickTime
lists, so others must have encountered it.
