What things? I do use VPC for testing at home.
Hardware devices is one. Dongles mostly.
And, while VPC emulates a real PC pretty darned well you can actually
do tests to tell that you are NOT a real PC. If any software relies
on that it will fail.
For a lot of things it is adequate
