Good Question :-) I believe it just to see how the menu looks.
I use subclassed menuitem if I want different words, and control keys
for a menu.
eg for quit the menu item I use shows Quit on Mac OSX, command Q and
Exit on Windows, Ctl-Alt-X.
*sigh*
Thats what I was afraid of, in other words mostly pointless, and
makes me wonder why only such decoration for the menus and not
everything like the Windows since they were adding such pointless
thing into it to begin with.
