Lol, good on you Brad, I suggest you take a look at Revolver from
Paul Gaspar and you'll understand why he won't be able to post "one
example" of something that doesn't work (although it would be really
nice if Paul would actually post a few examples of things that have
broken with each new release, if you search the archives for Mono
(the old name of Revolver) and the archives go back that far, you'll
know he's not your average complainer). I even suggest you use his
application for a while (if you know a little bit of German or Dutch,
use that version, it's more up-to-date), and you'll understand his
griefs.
I myself haven't been using REALbasic for large applications anymore
since I left my former company (it's more of a hobby nowadays), but I
have been working on some larger apps and know his pains. I also know
Paul isn't the person that posts a lot on this list, nor does he
participate in long discussions, so I was taking up his defense. And
I was widening the scope not only to 2006r2, I'm talking about every
release for the last couple of years.
Come on, Brad, I know you've been using REALbasic for years now, you
must have experienced the same frustrations a couple of times. And I
can tell you this: if someone steps up to me and asks me what
language to learn these days to get the grips of OO programming, I
would tell him/her to use RB right away (I'm actually teaching
someone RB these days). However, this shouldn't be a reason the truth
can't be told from time to time.

Hey, I have an idea! How about instead of spouting off about how
unusable r2 is and lecturing us all on how things should be done,
you post an example problem that maybe we could help you work
around? You know, be at least a little constructive...

Having said this, I'm retreating from this discussion, but I had
to get this off my chest.
