Guys,
MyOriginalPosting.ReplaceAll "unusable","unusable_for_me" ;-)
So what about a public fc?
I do not complain about unusable_for_me releases, I just wanted to
point out that imho a public fc could help improving the release
quality.
Somebody threw me out of the beta list a year ago because I was not
able to do beta testing with betas which were unusable_for_me. So it
is always a nice surprise for me if a new release appears: Somestimes
usable_for_me, sometimes not. Starting from CrossBasic 0.x (1998)
there was an average usable_for_me rate of 60 % of all releases, I
would say ... but this not a problem for me, I simply wait for the
next usable_for_me release.
Brad, I have a 25 MB source code file on the one hand and a failed
assertion on the other hand which does not tell me where in this 25
MB is the problem. So I asked here but got no aswer yet, so I guess
there is no solution. If somebody can tell me where to start it would
be helpful.

Lol, good on you Brad, I suggest you take a look at Revolver from
Paul Gaspar and you'll understand why he won't be able to post "one
example" of something that doesn't work (although it would be
really nice if Paul would actually post a few examples of things
that have broken with each new release, if you search the archives
for Mono (the old name of Revolver) and the archives go back that
far, you'll know he's not your average complainer). I even suggest
you use his application for a while (if you know a little bit of
German or Dutch, use that version, it's more up-to-date), and
you'll understand his griefs.
