The disgruntled people are always the most vocal. They *may* not represent the majority of the user base. The so-called "Silent Majority".

At least in the OS X area this isn't true: Speaking of several OS X related public forum systems here in germany, there are much more voices of people
who like their system, than people who dislike it.

But, well, inn general, your statement might be true.
