REALbasic 200x consistently builds larger slower apps than RB 5.5.5; and I was not really happy by the large and slow of RB 5.5.5 created applications...

First, you realize you both are saying the same thing right?

Secondly, blanket statements like that aren't always accurate. I agree that the 200x IDE is big and slow. However my built apps are a LOT faster in 2006 than they were in 5.5, primarily due to better thread handling.

Anyone who cares about performance should do their own benchmarks on their own app and its particular set of performance bottlenecks.
