Why don't you call this "MD5ofUserPassword" instead of "userPassword"?  I think 
that will make it clearer to you why this doesn't work:

>   if uName.text = UserName and uPassword.text = userPassword then

You're comparing the MD5 of the previously entered password, to the password 
entered by the user.  Of course these will never be equal.
