I don't a have a Windows 98/ME at my office any longer to test on. I can
confirm I can easily crash an app under Windows 2000 and XP.

It is the project attached to hagzejij that led me to the statictext hang I
posted about an hour or so ago. It appears there's a bug by updating the
statictext repeatedly that hangs a Windows application as well. This crash
was masking much of my prior testing with your test project.

Perhaps you can look at my earlier post "Windows statictext application
crash". It should add new light to testing your project -- I'm hoping
working around the statictext bug reveals new details on the printersetup
bug. That's where I've been all afternoon...
