On April 12, 2006, I downloaded the file: "ExampleProjects.tgz". For some reason, I didn't uncompress it 'till some minutes...

What a surprise !

I will only talk about two folders whose name is meaningfull:

Mac Only (TriMesh Melter.rb); see the 3D Graphics folder;
Linux OS Specific:Window Shape; contains: LinuxWindowShape.rb, shape.bmp, Thumbs.db/encryptable

The only comment that I will put here is: "did you notice that the extension of the two projects files is <.rb> and not <.rbp> like some of the other project files one can find in the <Example Projects>" ?

No, this is not a serious way to do business...

.rb was the old project names, that example just hasn't been updated for a
while. Personally, that is the least on my list of things to ask RS to look at.

Bill,

I think so too.

BUT, after so many years, I am asking myself if it is not time to put everything on the list of things to be done. I feel that most of the examples are REALbasic 5 (or lower) example and only some of them have been updated.

Also, - first, I had to read back the User's Guide - where are the REALbasic 200x IDE User's Manual ?

The other day I wanted to add a New FileType and was bored to go to the Menu... and I recall that I had it in the tool bar. I had to search ('cause I didn't remember how) in the Menus / MenuItems and eventually found the way to add a Add a FileType in the tools bar...

I think it is time to add the "REALbasic 200x IDE User's Manual" where the IDE is explained in details (Preferences and so on)...

But... we all know that they have different things in their to do list... :(

And the times goes on...and REALbasic will be 9 years old this year...

Emile
