Well, Ca and d are valid Hex letters so I checked those alone.
Val("&hFFCa") will evaluate to 65482 and Val("&hFFD") will evaluate
to 4093. It appears the "t" in Cat and the "og" in Dog change the
evaluation.
I wonder how that can happen. ;-)
