I agree, it would be nice to have at least the += and ++ operators. The
classic argument that they are not part of the BASIC syntax is quite
weak today, since most of what the RB language provides was not
available in the original basic in the first place. Also, those
operators are available in all the most used modern languages, such as
Java, C#, Obj-C, and C/C++ of course, so adding them to the RB syntax
would make RB *easier* to learn for anyone with at least a bit of
programming background.
