Touchwood  ive been very pleased with my powerbook G4 since I moved from
coding in XP.  

2 yrs old and taken everywhere, plugged into this and that on firewire and
usb.  Ive had a stream of non apple junk that just dies as soon as ones back
is turned.!

( knowing my luck my mac will now probably die tomorrow - time for a backup
methinks )

Have to say - I wonder just how many problems are due to mains spikes. When
I worked in Thailand a few years back it seemed almost de rigeur that
everyone buying a PC bought a UPS as well. Not a bad move imo.
