In Windows, you can right-click a file and choose "Print". This instructs the responsible application to print the file. Apparently there is some shell parameter that is sent.

How can I simulate this within REALbasic?

Use Mac OS 9. :)

Actually, you can do this in the OS X Finder, but it's a workaround for a very useful OS 9 Finder feature. Save a little AppleScript droplet that reads:

on open (thelist)
        tell application "Finder"
print every item of (thelist as list)
        end tell
end open

Drop things on it, and they will be opened in their individual applications, printed, and closed.

And if anyone can tell us why Apple dropped this ability from OS X's Finder, they get a chocolate donut.
