So the general conclusion is that Windows works fine, but using Linux is not quite there yet. Someone out there should do a tutorial on setting up Parallels with Linux for the purpose of debugging (when the details are worked out).
Another question for you folks using Parallels. What is the minimum size of the disk image needed for using Parallels for remote debugging Win32 environemts with RB?
