Is it really an encoding ?
It is bizarre !

It is not in RB either.

That's why it's not in Encoding Master, because it's not in RB.

But what is ANSEL. Who needs it? And why?

See here:
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ANSEL>

I'm writing a genealogy program. So I need it to import and export
gedcom files with the right encoding.

If you can answer me these questions, I might add ANSEL support to
Encoding Master :)

If you want to do this, ask me :-)

GEKo konverts the encoding of gedcom files. You can use it also like
Encoding Master. But it supports not so many encodings.

Because I have a handy system I made to add custom encodings.

That's implemented in GEKo, too.
