I seem to remember that some time ago somebody mentioned an alternative database plugin or class (for MySQL or possibly multi-databases) which was able to cope with MySQL 4.1+ type passwords and I think used dictionaries instead of database records/recordsets. I think it was in beta at the time and possibly open source? Is anybody able to point me in the right direction (web link etc), I've searched using anything I can think of and can't seem to find it!
