Which is great btw when it comes to speed and reliability. I personally don't like the way it handles records (using dictionaries), but that's a personal preference. This approach works in Ruby on Rails because you can pass a block to it, but with REALbasic, it doesn't really feel natural. But I'm using it very happily!

I seem to remember that some time ago somebody mentioned an
alternative database plugin or class (for MySQL or possibly
multi-databases) which was able to cope with MySQL 4.1+ type passwords

I think it was in beta at the time and possibly open source?

Is anybody able to point me in the right direction (web link etc),
I've searched using anything I can think of and can't seem to find it!
