Hi all,

REALbasic 2006r2 Commercial Pro for Mac OS X
REALbasic 2006r2 Commercial Standard for Windows
REALbasic 2006r2 Standard Free Editioon for Novell Linux suse 10.1

I use FolderItem.OpenStyledEditField EditField to load styled text.
The files are generated using a REALbasic custom "Text Editor" on Mac OS X and saved as .txt files.
Then, I use TextEdit to save these files as rtf files.

Now the hard part...

The text is displayed as if they are using bitmap fonts (newbies and youngsters: they look very bad) but the size is not available :(

I just open one of those rtf bad looking file using WordPad. After some minutes, I found that the third popup (Font name, Font size, Unknow) is empty. I create a new document and "Occidental" appears there.

Fantastic!

Now, I reload one bad looking file, select all its contents, type Occidental in the PopupMenu, get my text nice, save it, load it in my REALbasic application and ... it appears nice.

Must I do that for all my (less than 20, now) files ?

Do you have a better trick to share ?

TIA,

Emile
