All other points about drawers aside, you should *never* have more
than one drawer open on any side of a window at a time. You need to
close one before you open another.
Drawers are passé now. Even Apple's moving away from them now as they
were never cross platform. Hmm. :)
To do what you want you might check out Charles Yeoman's "I Declare"
and other Window manager functions from Apple's documentation.
