You seriously need to read the mySQL license. There are some provisions for deploying mySQL for free, but almost every commercial application, especially if you incorporate any of their more recent IP, is going to cost you. mySQL was never free like SQLite was free. SQLite is public domain; mySQL is under a multi-license model - and as far as I know, there is no royalty free distribution of mySQL at all (except when subject to the GPL requirements).
