Hi all,

is it me or the traffic is very low nowadays ?

Emile

PS: I already thank that in bot June and July (April too ?)

Well there may be several factors:
1) The Forum and the fact that Aaron does not post here anymore

2) Joe S leaving RS... He used to post much more and got lots of follow-up questions to his posts. i know reading thso list and Joe's post helpwd mea lot to get started with RB way back when.

I really think having both the forum and this mailing list hurts us in terms of information flow and sharing.

I look in on the forum a bit, and post there if I think Aaron would be the most likley one to answer a question, but overall I find the mailing list format more efficent time wise in terms of reading posts...

I would like to think more in these terms:

1) REALbasic is much more stable now. (Not perfect but what is?)

2) Many bugs have been fixed and the format of the IDE is much more flexible.

3) More people have stopped ranting and focussed on other ways of expressing their personal opinions.

4) Maybe more people are using the feedback instead of the lists to report problems. :)

5) Some of the most prolific posters might have moved on to other lists.

6) There are more people allowed on the Betas list. Anybody with a current license is now welcome AFAIK.

I would consider the volume now more in line with what it was before 5.0, after 5.5.5 and before 2005r1.

One last comment. RB users are getting used to RB and are having fewer difficulties.

Just my opinions and I do appreciate the current focus on serious questions now as opposed to simply griping about things to others.

Terry
