I have a Window with a single line EF in which the user enters some
text and a pushbutton with .default set to True.
When the user finishes entering text and presses <return> to invoke
the default button action, the Windows XP system beeps.
This does not occur on Mac OX
Has anyone seen this and have a work-around?
I have tried to return true in the keydown event of the EF if key =
chr(13), but that prevents the default button firing
As a workaround you could just perform the default button's action
from the editfield's keydown event if key = chr(13). If the default
button is a standard pushbutton you could even use Pushbutton1.Push
to provide the right visual feedback.
