I think if I could configure the editors in my life to all use the same keyboard layout I would be much more likely to learn and use those bindings than to use the mouse. Who knows maybe the increased efficiency would lead to better software and that could lead to more money and that could lead to me retiring to run my dream dive boat operation in the Caribbean somewhere... But I digress.

One last thought. What if you could bind a key to a RBScript and that script could work on the current selection and then replace it with the results of the script. Or the script could actually use the editing commands to move the cursor and change the selection and then do something. The mind is boggled with the possibilities.

Frankly, I don't want to design the user interface to tools that I use, nor do I want to have to configure keyboard shortcuts. I expect that the tool developer would have done all that workfor me.

I just want to use a simple interface that's straightforward and requires little memorization.

Drag and drop editing is my friend and I wish RB supported that a little better.
