Yes - there is a speed improvement across the board: however you
mileage may vary.
Your 20M RB project compiles in 3 seconds on the 2.66 and 2 seconds
on the 3.0... Marginal difference IMO
If you are doing very high end video or photo editing where you may
have the same task repeat dozens or hundreds of times, the difference
would be wider.
We have been recommending the 2.66 to all but a select few customers
as the savings difference will buy you RAM/Hard drive space.
As a side note: you can make those purchases (in the U.S.) from us
and get RB developer pricing - could save you anywhere from $100 to
$300 depending on configuration.
