Little late to this thread, but... that 2nd hard drive you got, you are going to use it in a Striped RAID config, right? I did mine and it made about as much difference as the 4 gigs of RAM. (Get a 3rd firewire drive for your backup, auto-wake at 2am and have SuperDuper do your backups.)

In general, if you have only so much money to spend, you will get far, FAR more of a performance boost by investing in additional RAM than you will get
from investing in a slightly faster processor.
