Hello, I like your toolbar but I had also a couple of requests. I have not had the chance to look much at the source (purchased) but if it was easy for you to do the following would be useful. It has been very easy to use with my existing bitmap icons.
1) place for support, maybe a forum, even if it is in the realbasic forums 2) having windows theme with the text placed below 3) having a MacOSX with a transparent background (when using the brushed metal look for the application) 4) optionally fixed spacing (to make things look well balanced on the horizontal menu, even when text for button is long) as described in point in the email below. 5) is it possible to add another icon to the original (like the triangle for drop down list) so that I could put something to indicate the status of the button action 6) How can I make extra buttons that are only in the customize list (I think that is the visible option) 7) do you have a recommended way to keep the toolbar settings between restarts of the application? 8) I could only get the tooltips to appear for the toolbar demo,, I did not understand how to do this for an actual toolbar. Is it possible to have the labels (text) below icons (big or small) | on a horizontal toolbar? All examples on the demo (for horizontal) | have the text on right and as you might know what is the usual way is | to use the labels below the icon (as the vertical toolbar example | shows or the horizontal examples for Apple and Fudge). Yes, you can make your own themes so you can do whatever you like. If needed, I can make a Windows theme with labels underneath for you. Internet Explorer - which the current XP theme is based on - does not however have labels underneath, but to the side. | 2. What are the default icon dimensions? There are no default sizes apart from the "small" icon size which is 16px square. You can have any size icon you choose - as the demo shows because the main window of the demo uses 88px square icons to choose between Fudge, OS X, XP and KDE. | 3. Is it possible to choose a fixed width for all buttons on a | toolbar? Not currently, although I could write that into KillerToolBar if others thought it was a good idea - or you could modify the source yourself, of course. | 4. On Windows 2000 the toolbar does not look very nice with that | background. Is it possible to change the toolbar's background to a | color or image? Yes, you may modify the themes to suit your own needs. Each theme contains a method called "ToolbarBackground" which you may modify. | 5. It it possible to use an image (not a button) justified at right on | the toolbar? This is something very useful and it would be great if | this image could be clicked to perform an action. Not currently, but again if there's a demand I could write it into KillerToolBar, or you could modify the source as you see fit. I'm not sure if I understand what you mean though - do you have a screengrab of something you've seen which is similar? Should you require further help, please feel free to ask.
