If you call the socket, and don't do anything else, the app will

I have a console app project that uses this code at the end of the
app.Run event handler:
while ubound(theSMTPSocket.messages) >= 0
ANDtheSMTPSocket.lastErrorCode = 0
App.DoEvents

This fixed the problem!
Putting this while-loop held the CGI alive until the socket was emptied.
Apache tolerated this..no problem....
The socket events trapped the breakbpoints, and showed that 8
SendComplete, 1 MessageSent , and 1 MailSent Events
were fired for a single (simple) test email. No wonder my code had
to wait.....
Grateful....Many thanks to all...
