On my Mac G4 Albook (1.5Ghz/2G ram), it's good for about 30 minutes of compile/run/edit and then it just up and disappears when I select either run or build. Eventually the crashreporter comes up and tells you it's not running...I guess in the event you didn't notice a blank screen...:-) And something has changed between R3 and R4 for compiling too. Opening a project that would compile both MachO and PEF in R3, won't with R4. Apparently the compiler in R3 didn't check for "CarbonLib" quite as well as R4. This is NOT a bad thing, but it's certainly different. Lastly I've noticed that the PEF builds are significantly more bloated when compiled with R4 than with R3. About 25-30% bigger in size for my projects. The UB builds are, expectantly, about double the MachO builds. I plan to keep working with R4 for the time being. Not sure if that's the smart move or not. Time and crashes will tell..:-) Mel _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives of this list here: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html>
