HI everyone,
I have a hard to solve problem, at least hard for me.
I have a program that opens mp3 files as sound files,
(s=f.openassound) which works well on MAC OSX and on
most Windows machines with XP. However, on one
particular machine it does not work. This machine has
the following specs:
Yes, Quicktime is installed. Quicktime: Version 7.1
Laptop: Samsung x 30
Windows: XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2
Computer: Samsung Electronics
Intel Pentium M
The files that the program tries to open can be opened
by QuickTime on the same3 machine, but no through my
program, made with RB2006 R2.
I checked the nug-list and found two other emails from
other people reporting similar problems but I did not
find an answer to their questions ("MP3 sound playing
problems under Win9x", from Thomas Tempelmann, Oct 5,
2002, and Mario Buchichio, June 30, 2006).
Any ideas of what is going on?
