Maybe he wants to display a picture of something on the screen and say "Actual Size".

When someone posts a question here there could be any number of reasons why they want to do what they're doing, and they seldom give a thorough explanation of why their wants came into being. It really doesn't matter...a question is a question.

I'm not sure why you would *want* to convert to an actual inch on the
screen, if that is in fact what you are asking. After all, doesn't that
defeat the whole point of allowing the user to select a higher screen
resolution in the first place?

If you just want a scalable result (roughly one inch on a "standard"
display, one inch on the printed page), just use 72 (Windows) or 92 for screen, and PrinterSetup.HorizontalResolution, VerticalResolution for the
printer.

Of course, I'm just a Windows guy; I don't know how you Mac boys roll. ;-)
