Hi all, REALbasic 2006 Release 4 Mac OS X 10.4.8
In an old project, I use to open a sound file (mp3, m4a, aiff, etc.) in an EditableMovie, then I am able to select a part of the sound (using HH:MM:SS for both start and end, see other report for the EditField Mask). What I added yesterday evening was the ability to save in a Movie a part of the file (the selected part). A true world's example is: Load the song (original studio version) "Paint it, Black", The Rolling Stones), Set start pos to 0, Set end pos to 8 (that is the first 8 seconds of the song), Click in a button and hear the selected part (the infamous 8 seconds intro); Click in another button and save in a Movie the same 8 seconds; works fine within QuickTime Player. HERE’s MY QUESTION: How can I save in a sound file (mp3, m4a, aiff, etc.) these seconds ? I have watched carefully the FolderItem Class and QuickTime related Classes (EditableMovie, QTTrack, etc.), but I didn't found what I was searching :( Thank you for your attention and more thanks for every answers, Greetings from France, Emile _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives of this list here: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html>
