I have to agree with Norman though, it's a healthy and normal state to have several tools in your toolbox. If you build solutions and you only know one tool - how can you effectively adapt to a broad range of customer needs? A lot of Valentina customers use Valentina on more than one platform. We've had users that have started on Director, for example, but because Valentina is also available for REALbasic, come to try REALbasic or Revolution or even one of our Windows only products. There isnt a perfect environment for everything. It seems to me that the healthiest solutions provider has several tools. It makes me think of being a "mac only" developer in the early - mid 90's. You had a few tools other than CodeWarrior, but your fortune was tied to the success of a single company and one small decision of that company could sink your business (and Apple's situation wasn't very healthy then). For example, Ill never forget the impact of OpenDoc. It was a really neat component system but not easy to program for. Cross platform tools free you from the constraint of platform but when you invest in a cross platform tool, it still carries with it whatever limitations/compromises the vendor designs into it as a matter of course. So better to know a few tools.
