Seems like ShellPath would be undefined in this circumstance.  AbsolutePath
seems like a reasonable substitute.

Do you expect RB to parse out the file spec for you, determine what part, if
any, actually exists, and then append the rest to the shellpath for that?

Consider the path:  c:\program files\my applications\my program
where c:\program files exists, but the rest doesn't.
You would get: c:\progra~1\my applications\my program
which isn't very useful, as it combines short and long names.
